The New York City Department of Transportation’s Urban Art Program | 01/27/2012 | |
seeks submissions from artists for the annual Barrier Beautification open call. Since Spring 2010, NYCDOT has partnered with the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit and New York Cares to commission art for barrier sites that typically separate bicycle lanes and pedestrian paths from lanes of vehicular traffic. The application deadline is February 24, 2012. Selected artists are granted up to $2,500 and will have the support of volunteers for project implementation on April 21, 2012. Join us as Dance Parade celebrates Dance Manhattan as a Float Sponsor in the Sixth Annual Parade! All are welcomed! Current Dance Manhattan students, feel free to bring your friends, family and colleagues along! Dance Manhattan has become a float sponsor for the sixth year in a row...supporting Dance Parade in a multitude of ways from the very beginning!

Come meet the organizers of Dance Parade and get to know Dance Manhattan with a:
FREE introductory dance class @ 8pm

Followed by a FREE Dance party till 12:30am!
The one hour free class that will be held from 8-9pm, just prior to the dance, will be taught by Rodney Lopez who will offer one half hour of salsa and one half hour of swing.
