Artist's Statement

E
lena Fishman was born in Sankt Petersburg, Russia. Since childhood she has had a strong desire to draw.
At the age of ten she began attending The Art School where she studied drawing, watercolor and sculpture with the great Russian artists.
After graduating from The Art School, she continued taking drawing classes at The College of Architecture.
When she came to America, she attended City University of New York College, majoring in fine art. While in the college, Elena won three Presidential awards: indrawing, mixed media, and print making. Three of her works are in permanent collection of City Universityof New York.
Elena’s art work was chosen to be included in the 26th Annual Student Show of the oldest Art Club of America: The National Art Club in New York City. She is also a chairperson of Audubon Artists Club(www.audubonartists.org)
Elena's favorite mediums are Indian ink and watercolor. She receives great inspiration from the world of nature and from ancient architecture. |
