"For I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and have my name proclaimed throughout the earth." (Romans 9: 17) Life-long artist Deborah L. Zeller believes God has given her the artistic talent to portray His joyous images for other to see.  This pursuit of divine laughter has become the cornerstone of her work.

At the start of each new drawing, Ms. Zller rephrases the Prayer of St. Francis: "Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace.  Where there is darkness, let me draw Your joy."  This joyfulness and illumination are captured on paper with colored pencils.

Ms. Zeller holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Studio Art and Art Education.  Her artwork consisted of secular subjects until five years ago when she made the dramatic change to render exclusively religious themes, specifically joyful themes and images.  Since 'joy' is a prevalent word found in the Psalms and the New Testament, Ms. Zeller has gladly devoted her artistic career toward illustrating these joyous Scripture accounts.

Ms. Zeller has been an art instructor for the junior high and high school levels for over the past twenty years.  Her passionate love and enthusiasm for art is a contagious motivator and influence for her art students.
